Working Together to Improve Care at Edgerton Hospital

At Edgerton Hospital, we believe the best care is shaped by the people who experience it. The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) brings together patients, family members, and hospital team members to share feedback, ideas, and perspectives that help improve the patient experience across our organization.

PFAC members play an important role in helping Edgerton Hospital strengthen communication, enhance care transitions, and improve how services are delivered to patients and families. By sharing real experiences and thoughtful input, advisors help guide meaningful improvements that benefit our entire community.

What is a Patient and Family Advisor?

A Patient and Family Advisor is someone who partners with hospital staff to help improve care by sharing insights based on personal experiences as a patient or family member. Advisors:
  • Share feedback on care, services, and communication
  • Help identify opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in discussions or projects focused on patient experience
  • Work collaboratively with hospital staff and leadership on either short or long-term commitments, depending on the project
  • Volunteer their time, typically 1–2 hours per month
No special training or medical background is required. We will provide you with any other training you need. Your experience and perspective are what matter most.
