Description:

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month and International Wear Green Day, Edgerton Hospital invites staff, community members, and guests to join us on May 14, 2026, for a special event focused on mental health awareness, education, and connection.

The event will begin with a brief program (approximately 20 minutes) in the Senior Life Solutions space, highlighting the importance of mental health and the role our organization plays in expanding access to mental and behavioral health services across South Central Wisconsin.

The program will include:

  • A welcome and introduction from President & CEO Marc Augsburger (or a member of the executive leadership team)
  • Brief remarks from several Edgerton Hospital mental health providers and program leads, including:
    • An overview of their role at Edgerton Hospital and Health Services
    • Why mental health matters in our community
    • A practical tool, message, or brief demonstration to support mental wellbeing

Following the program, the event will transition into an open house, where attendees are invited to stay, connect, and explore available resources. Highlights of the open house include:

  • Mental health resources and information shared by our providers
  • Green giveaways and refreshments in support of Wear Green Day
  • Opportunities to learn more about mental health services and programs offered at Edgerton Hospital

This event is free and open to the public. Staff, guests, and community members are encouraged to wear green to show their support for mental health awareness and to help break down stigma surrounding mental and behavioral health.

Media, local officials, and special guests will be invited to attend, creating additional opportunities for conversation, engagement, and community connection.

We hope you will join us as we come together to raise awareness, promote mental wellness, and highlight the important work being done to support mental health in our region.
