Meet Our Hospital Administrators
James
O. Pernau
CEO
In 2005, Jim Pernau took the reins as chief executive officer of Edgerton
Hospital. Since the early 1970’s, Jim has been working his way through
a myriad of health care leadership positions, from assistant administrator
to administrator to CEO. Through serving on numerous boards, including
WI Rural Health Cooperative, and through a variety of professional affiliations
and extensive education, Jim has learned the in’s and out’s
of running an efficient, yet compassionate hospital. Jim holds his BA
from Illinois Wesleyan University and his Masters in Health Care Administration
from the University of Michigan.
Charles
H. Roeder
Vice President/CFO
While Charles has 27 years of experience managing health care finance,
he has served as Edgerton Hospital’s chief financial officer for
the past seven years. Highly accredited, Charles is a Certified Public
Accountant and holds a BA from St. John’s University and a MBA from
Tulane University. Prior to his current position, Charles was a college
instructor, a CPA firm auditor and a controller/CFO at a variety of hospitals.
He had the pleasure of accepting both HFMA’s Folmer Bronze and Reeves
Silver Merit awards.
Caryn
Oleston
Vice President of Patient Care/Chief Clinical Officer
Caryn is a veteran
health care provider with over 33 years in her field. She began her career
as a staff nurse at Mercy Health System and became seasoned in her field
having worked as a medical/surgical nurse, labor and delivery nurse, manager
of the pediatric and adolescent psychiatric units and most recently, served
as the executive director of Mercy Assisted Care. Caryn holds her BSN from
Mount Senario College and her Masters in Nursing/Health Care Administration
from the University of Phoenix. Caryn oversees all patient care areas.
Sue
Alwin-Popp
Director of Quality
Sue brings quality to all she manages – from Social Services to Risk
Management to Infection Control, among other areas. In addition to being
a Registered Nurse, Sue has over 14 years of experience in health care
and insurance review, and over 10 years in discharge planning and family
assistance. Prior to joining the team at Edgerton Hospital in 2004, Sue
held Utilization and Case Management positions for large insurance firms,
taught a Medical Ethics class at Blackhawk Technical College and managed
a HIM department. Sue is currently a member of the WI Nursing Association,
American Health Information Management Association and is a Stephen Minister.
Tracey
Pederson
Executive Director – Edgerton Hospital
Capital Foundation
Tracey has over 19 years of fund development and marketing experience.
Prior to accepting her position at the hospital, Tracey served as development
and marketing director, major gifts officer and executive director of the
Boys & Girls Club. Having previously led two successful capital campaigns,
Tracey is responsible for securing donations for the Edgerton Hospital
Capital Foundation’s “Securing the Future” campaign,
which raises funds for the Healthy Village building project and other needs.
Tracey serves on the Edgerton Chamber of Commerce board, the Green County
Humane Society board, is a member of AFP and received her BS from the UW-LaCrosse.
